This is @jack once again fundamentally misunderstanding why people use his platform. I'm not here because I want to walk away from Twitter each day "feeling like [I've] learned something." I'm not here for debate or Jack's (or rather, the sea lions') vision of "healthy dialogue."
These tech bros make fun things that users like, but then they take it into their heads that they have to be MORE than just fun things that users like, they have to Lead Dialogue or Foster Debate or Make Shit-Tons of Money by Harvesting & Selling Their Users' Organs or whatever.
Twitter's a coffee house. We came to this coffee house to sit at tables with our friends & talk about the shit we like to talk about. Occasionally we yell across the room at acquaintances, or get raucous when there's something exciting on the TV.
(There's a TV, maybe it's a sports bar rather than a coffee house, IDK.) But you hearing us yell & deciding that means you need to break up table-groups & seat people with strangers to make them talk about other stuff is not a great model for either a cafe or a sports bar.
I don't WANNA watch the game with Islanders or Blackhawks fans, I came here to watch with Bruins or Wings or Caps fans. (Okay, it's definitely now a metaphorical sports bar.) Just because we yell at or about the Habs once in a while doesn't mean we wanna sit with Montreal.
(I'm getting carried away with my metaphor because now I'm thinking about hockey and the hockey allegiances of all my friends. ANYWAY.)
This thing is here for us to have fun with friends, and obliging us to stop having fun with our friends & watching our teams' games to listen to some guy rant drunkenly about the Oilers' Dynasty Years is going to empty your bar pretty fast. No one wants that!
Not even Oilers-Guy, who may not believe it but will probably find his own table of fellow Edmonton fans if he circles the room a couple of times.

And if people in your bar are being abusive, the solution is not to break them up & make them sit with others, it's to kick 'em out.
If you don't want to kick 'em out, then you need better bouncers who can keep them from starting shit with other teams and tables.

Anyway this metaphor has entirely run away with me and now I'm distracted, where was I?

Oh yes: Jack Dorsey is a bland turnip.
