It’s not about collusion. It’s about corruption. There’s a reason I put that word in the subtitle for #KushnerInc.

A THREAD:
“Whether the obstruction of justice was criminal or not, they are unquestionably dishonest, unethical, immoral, and unpatriotic and should be condemned by every American. That is how we should view the Mueller Report.” —@RepAdamSchiff
“Rather than the story of a single crime masterminded by a single actor or entity, this is the story of many hustles, most of them unsuccessful. You’d be hard-pressed to find collusion among these hustlers—each of them has his own game.” —@mashagessen newyorker.com/news/our-colum…
“Parsing the motivations of the various Russian supplicants is difficult in part because many of them were a mirror image of their counterparts in Trump World: D-listers for whom the line between state policy and personal gain is unclear.” —@arawnsley thedailybeast.com/mueller-report…
“I was surprised by how clear Mueller was in suggesting that Trump had corrupt intent when he took various actions around the Russia investigation. That was a big deal, for Mueller to paint such a dark picture of Trump and his White House.” —@ameliatd fivethirtyeight.com/features/is-th…
"It’s Not the Collusion, It’s the Corruption"—@nytdavidbrooks on what the Mueller report says about our world: nytimes.com/2019/04/18/opi…
It's not about the collusion. It's about the corruption. They didn't collude for lack of trying. It's all about money and self-interest here. They're all on the take. And if we're meant to follow the money, Mueller has left us an excellent map.
"The White House that emerges from more than 400 pages of Mr. Mueller’s report is a hotbed of conflict infused by a culture of dishonesty."—@maggieNYT and @peterbakernyt nytimes.com/2019/04/18/us/…
The Mueller Report is “one of the most damning insider accounts ever written about a Presidency. What the report portrays, in numbing legalese and revealing footnotes, is a breathtaking culture of lying and impunity, distrust and double-dealing.” —@sbg1 newyorker.com/news/letter-fr…
“Even before special counsel Robert Mueller's report was released, anyone who had a TV knew that President Donald Trump was too corrupt and compromised for his office. Now we know the same is true for his attorney general, William Barr.” —@LOLGOP usatoday.com/story/opinion/…
“If you boil it down to its essence, the two-year war we’ve been fighting over the Russia scandal has really been a fight over where the true rot of elite corruption in our political system can be found.”—@theplumlinegs washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/…
