So much of what's wrong is grounded in how greed and lust for personal power overrides duty and a sense of right and wrong. Trump working with a foreign adversary resulted from the same corporate mindset that avoids taxes and rationalizes helping totalitarian regimes. 1/
What we're watching right now is the erosion of any sense of right and wrong. People are being bled to death in the name of profit and power, they're endangered daily, all while those who are supposed to hold them accountable count their checks and look the other way. 2/
Trump welcoming Russia's help, even seeking it out, is the same as Facebook working with China to censor dissidents and create a totalitarian spy state. It's the selling of ethics in the name of the bottom line, and that blatant greed is the rot at the heart of this problem. 3/
By that same token, corporations and the wealthy elite who avoid taxes are turning their backs on the education of the country, the peoples' healthcare and well-being. It's a middle finger to everyone who is supposed to benefit from them honoring their duty to society. 4/
Everyone wants to break this down and explain it, but the picture is so much larger than a simple explanation. Our system of government and the order of our society is endangered because moneyed interests have won out and loyalty and duty now have a price tag. 5/
Society doesn't work when the individuals with the most power and the most wealth play outside the system and don't support the health of the society. When they commit these crimes, when they abdicate their responsibilities, it all starts to implode. That's what we're watching 6/
What Trump did with Russia was a corporate move. It troubled the law in order to gain an advantage. We see that everyday in the corporate world. If you get caught, the repercussion is always light, so it makes the aggressive move worth it. Unfortunately, it hurts society. 7/
When EVERYONE troubles the law, it compounds and soon everything starts to fall apart. What we have now is a society where the rich and powerful all skirt their responsibilities and skirt their duty. The people who pay is everyone else. We have to see this for what it is. 8/
Until there's a reckoning here, until there are repercussions and pushback, Trump and corporations are going to continue to sell this country out and harm the populace. It's a fullblown crisis, and unrestrained greed is the disease. 9/9
