Does climate change mean more flooding in Canada? My read of the scientific literature is that we can expect more flooding along rivers, in urban areas and in coastal zones. Here's a thread with some sources.
Burn, Donald H., and Paul H. Whitfield. 2018. “Changes in Flood Events Inferred from Centennial Length Streamflow Data Records.” doi.org/10.1016/j.advw….

"All flood regimes show an increased number of threshold exceeding events."
Gaur et al. 2018. “Future Changes in Flood Hazards across Canada under a Changing Climate.” doi.org/10.3390/w10101….

"Results obtained indicate that flood frequencies in the northernmost regions of Canada, and south-western Ontario can be expected to increase in the future."
Gaur et al. 2019. “Flooding Related Consequences of Climate Change on Canadian Cities..” doi.org/10.3390/w11010….

"40–60% of the analyzed cities are found to be associated with future increases in flooding frequencies and associated increases in flood hazard and flood risk"
A global perspective: Winsemius et al. 2016. “Global Drivers of Future River Flood Risk.” doi.org/10.1038/nclima….

"Globally, absolute damage may increase by up to a factor of 20 by the end of the century without action."
Alfieri et al. 2016. “Global Projections of River Flood Risk in a Warmer World.” doi.org/10.1002/2016EF….

"At 4°C global warming, countries representing more than 70% of the global population and global gross domestic product will face increases in flood risk in excess of 500%."
