One of the first times I can recall that the WH reported this call. Normally it’s the Kremlin who reveals high level contacts between Trump’s regime and Putin
The conversation lasted over an hour and they also discussed a possible new nuclear agreement
The phone call lasted an hour and a half according to the Russians. And look at their propaganda linked article 
The Russians are now reporting that the phone call was initiated by Trump
Trump said he wants to “trade a lot” with Russia. Sounds like the end of sanctions are not far behind. Isn’t it supposed to be Russia getting sanctioned more for attacking our country?
Venezuela discussions were “positive.” Putin said he won’t meddle?? Reminder that Russian mercenaries have been operating in Venezuela all year and Russia recently sent military and equipment to prop up Maduro.
Putin also brought up Ukraine and the Minsk agreement and discussed his recent meet with Kim Jong Un
What would make Trump wake up and say let me call Putin to cause more controversy? It’s like he is telling us yet again I will do wtf I want and no one will stop me. A true Authoritarian
