Yes.

First he blabbers on a bit about Fartage and the Tory leadership. Then he comes up with this:
"The next Conservative leader will have to announce that Britain will leave the European Union on October 31st without a deal, unless the European Union makes a better offer."

You see what I mean. The ignorance and sheer stupidity of this cannot qualify as journalism.
I don't care if he wants to leave the European Union.
But you can't divorce yourself from fact and call yourself a journalist.

The risk in journalism is that you start telling the government to do things that can't be done. Talk is cheap. Anyone can gob off and tell the government do this, do that.

The problem is that in real life you can't act the way journalists talk.
You can't just walk away from your responsibilities. Who's going to stop you? America is going to stop you.

If you don't understand how international relations work, you shouldn't be writing newspapers. You can't just gob off in contradiction to reality. That just is not journalism.

If you fucked up the Good Friday agreement, as you would by just walking out of Europe with no agreement, America would be on your doorstep within the hour. They would go fucking mental.

What Fraser Nelson proves, and Boris Johnson and Michael Gove, is that journalists often make dreadful politicians. That same gobbyness that sells newspapers is poison to the business of practical government.

Fraser Nelson lives in this simplified little world, almost a doll's house world. If that's what he wants.
But you can't produce journalism in a doll's house because you have to address the real world. And so we have downgraded Fraser Nelson to junk status.
