Nadeem Ashfaq told the Lancashire Post: “He was very polite and listened to me respectfully, for which I am grateful. Many of his supporters even shook my hand and thanked me for being honest and open with Tommy."

That’s really sweet Mr Ashfaq but..

this entire facade seems like a PR exercise for both parties:

1. An opportunity for Robinson to show that he’s not an Islam-hating anti-Muslim racist bigot because he’s able to have tea, biscuits, samosas and pakoras with some “moderate” Muslims. Great PR for his MEP campaign.
2. An opportunity for Mr Ashfaq to demonstrate how “peaceful” he, his organisation and those like him are compared to other “extremist” and “intolerant” Muslims — this will no doubt be the area of “shared concerns” and agreement.
Whilst principled non-Muslim Britons across the north are boycotting and opposing Robinson, you can always count on some politically shortsighted Muslims (who nearly always happen to be advocates of the Prevent strategy) to welcome a hate-filled charlatan for tea and biscuits.
Mr Ashfaq should ask Abu Muntasir (Manwar Ali) from JIMAS how well embracing racists and Islamophobes worked out for the Muslim community when he went on a wreath laying ceremony with the EDL in the wake of the Woolwhich attack back in 2013.
Actually, it’s more appropriate that Mr Ashfaq speak to the Quilliam Foundation to understand how fruitful “de-radicalising” Mr Robinson was.
