That Gurley was actively seeking investments to revolutionize taxi/limousine is indicative of why he’s the 🐐 of this era. Amazing though that if he hadn’t been rejected twice before, he wouldn’t have invested in Uber.

The States set to sue S/TMUS are defining the market as pre and postpaid, which is reasonable, and say consumer harm will primarily fall on lower end prepaid customers. Also fine. Except TMUS has agreed to divest Boost as part of the settlement with the FCC. So that's weird.
Also lol at Shapiro. I know he's an expert that is always called upon for this type of suit, but after his work was absolutely dunked on in AT&T/TWX I thought maybe he'd sit this one out.

Big 4 antitrust:

1) Goog - Most vulnerable. Concrete examples of anticompetitive behavior. Available behavioral remedies.

2) Amazon - easiest to break up b/c of modular org. But why and to what end?

3) Apple - App store

4) FB - closed system. who/what are they harming?
With FB/GOOG I can see easy privacy remedies, I mean FB is about to settle a massive fine with FTC. But antitrust/break up just seems like "they are too big" hand waving. Other than Google, the only other real monopolistic behavior I can see is Apple app store. Where am I wrong?
I think the funniest outcome would be the DOJ suing FB to stop copying Snapchat. "It is so ordered that for 10 years you must actually internally develop your products".

Bill Gurley wrote an article in 20O3 which describes one of Airware's biggest problems: distribution. abovethecrowd.com/2003/02/10/sof… Assuming OEM's will adopt your platform is a very low probability bet.
"More venture funded businesses die of indigestion than they do starvation" applies to Airware. The best founder's know how to focus. It's what you don't m do as much as what you do that matters. Ty Webb: "Be the ball Danny." Don't get distracted. Focus. google.com/amp/s/techcrun…
People have seen the "OEM adopts someone's platform" movie as often as people have seen The Jerk or Caddyshack. People know how those movies end. The scarce factor in business today is increasingly distribution. Airware didn't have distribution and that was one fatal mistake.

I'm still mad over one situation. In #DnD #LFR organized play, I playing an epic level artificer with all the warlord cheese

There was this man who constantly told me I was slow, and he was so insistent about it that he even convinced my friends at the table I was slow.
But look. I had pre-generated tables for every attack, with all normal modifiers.
I would set aside the exact number of dice before my turn, color dice coded per attack type.

I only even had dice applicable to the character. There was no die hunt
I was optimized.
