An anti-vaccination rally a thread: 
This was advertised through robo calls and what’s app groups starting Sunday night. Big names on anti-vaccination circuit Including Andrew Wakefield - the author of 1998 debunked study on supposed link between vaccines Ana autism.
When I showed up right before staring it was pretty empty - supposed to start at 7:30 - one woman laughed at me saying Hasidish time more like 9...
She was right it filled up. There were people who’d ridden buses from Brooklyn and other areas to attend.
The flier expressly said “no babies” but there were many babies, lots of moms and families — men say separately from women so in this picture you are only seeing half the crowd.

Most were Orthodox folks but some secular folks - all but one speaker were from secular anti-vax movement.
Let’s start with Rabbi Hillel Handler - he is one of few rabbis who openly opposes vaccines. He says de Blasio is a German and a “very, very sneaky fellow” - “he has declared a sanctuary city come one come all.”
”Hundreds of thousands are coming into New York City carrying really serious diseases, not measles which is not a serious disease.... terrible diseases that kill.”
“We’re being demonized,” he says “Don’t sneeze is your a Hasid” “the campaign against us has been successful.”

Also Handler cites “medical research” saying, “measles mumps and chicken pox your chances of getting cancer, heart disease and stokes goes down 60 percent.”
“The Jews are our misfortune,” says “we Hasidim have been chosen as the target in order to distract from the virulent dieseases that are sweeping through the city from illegals.”
Dr. Larry Palevskey speaks next. He urges people to question whether or not there actually is an outbreak of measles or if people are catching it from the vaccine. Or if maybe doctors are misdiagnosing measles.
“Is there a bad lot of vaccines?“ he wonders. “Is it possible the MMR to communities in Williamsburg.. in Lakewood Monsey is it possible that these lots are bad... is it something other than the unvaccinated children...”
he says how is it possible for “Vaccines to make the germ make the virus dissapear in those who are vaccinated and only the unvaccinated are somehow harboring that virus..”
Just felt like a little counter programming: 92 PERCENT OF KIDS in NYC WHO GOT MEASLES WERE NOT VACCINATED...
“Hundreds of thousands if not millions of mothers.. have witnessed children regressing after they get the MMR... the children stop talking, they don’t look at you, they start flapping their arms, they start banging their head.”

What he says when asked if he thinks its dangerous to fear monger of the measles vaccine during an outbreak: “I think we should be talking about the chronic illness outbreak because our medical establishment has overseen the greatest decline in public health in human history.”
“We have never watched children get this sick this fast ever,” he says.
