Who on earth would EVER be fine with a "baby being murdered and dismembered for profit"?? But of course you know that's a straw man.

If you're arguing abortion = murder and a pregnant woman says it's not, who gets to make that judgment? A bunch of male politicians?

Furthermore, if you truly believe innocent life must be protected, how do you justify the GOP taking health care away from sick children, in some cases condemning them to death?

A sin of omission (letting someone die) is no less a travesty than a sin of commission.

When I wrote DigitalCivilWar.info, I did so knowing the brutal truth that we've entered a new phase in American politics, one where the far right has taken control of the GOP and is seizing more power by the day. The book explains the lay of the battlefield and what we can do.
As blue Americans, we are in a struggle for political survival. The usual Beltway strategies don't work. Within lawful and non-violent means, we need to join forces, be leaders, and defend our rights and our democracy.

The #abortion battle is a central part of that fight.
As @KristenClarkeJD said: "A coordinated attack on Roe v Wade and women’s reproductive freedom is well underway."

To the males who follow me, THIS IS OUR FIGHT TOO. The frontal assault on women's health and freedom affects ALL of us.

Continued dithering by Dem leaders on impeaching Trump has had an extremely damaging effect on the power of #impeachment to protect the rule of law.

They thought it would strengthen their hand to appear reluctant, but waffling has had the opposite effect.
I hate to say this, but I increasingly believe that #impeachment will be far less effective now than it would have been out of the gate in January.

Mealy-mouthed Dem excuses for inaction have telegraphed to the public that impeachment is entirely a partisan political calculus.
Just to be clear: I believe more strongly than ever that Dems should #impeach NOW. And it isn't about Mueller. Incitement of violence against the press is enough. What this thread is saying is that #impeachment will have less teeth than it would have a few months ago.

Lets extrapolate.
Clearly the value placed on human life is high enough that you are seeking to protect the unborn.

Prioritising their well being over the pregnant woman. Even if you feel the woman has rights, you place the rights of the unborn first.
I don't feel this is an unfair appraisal of the situation...

Criminalising the act of abortion, as a deterrent. But what is it intended to deter?

Abortion - clearly. But is that the intention here? Isn't it "Promiscuous" sex that is the "sin" you are looking to combat?

Please take a minute and ask yourself why you don’t seem to have room in your feminism for ppl who need more than one abortion (and who aren’t ashamed). There are all kinds of reasons ppl might need >1 abortion (I feel a thread coming on).
Ppl who can get #pregnant can spend >35 years of reproductive life trying not to get pregnant. If typical use failure rates for #contraceptive methods like the pill or patch are ~9%, you’re almost inevitably going to have at least one failure in a lifetime.
Even if ppl have an average # of children, that’s still 30+ years of needing reliable #birthcontrol to avoid pregnancy.

When I was raped a few years ago, I was terrified I would get pregnant by the brutal monster who left me so injured and nearly killed me. I knew I couldn't have an abortion for many reasons, including a dead child.

BUT THE OPTION EXISTED.

#Women have much greater #hormonal fluctuations each month than #men do. Simply put, a woman's thought life and #emotions are more prone to high highs, and low lows. This isn't a "design flaw" but rather how #God made a #woman to be in touch with the needs of small #children.
Nothing is more short-sighted as a #man than viewing a #woman as an "overly emotional" or "flawed" version of a man's thought process or #emotions. A woman that does not let her emotions out will become very #passiveaggressive, #depressed or #angry. Your job is to be an #outlet.
