Like every writer on here with more than 2,000 followers, I occasionally get PR folks who ask if they can send me a product to review, mostly things I would never want or need. And all I wanna do is review your candy products. What does a girl gotta do to get some free candy?
Why is no PR person ever like: "Charlotte, we'd like to send you a 50 lbs. bag of weed gummy bears to review, but we understand if you're so overcome by them that you don't actually get around to reviewing."
Also, @thegoodgodabove, can you send me a good president for review?
OMG, I'm currently getting bombarded with strangers in my DMs offering to send treats. Y'all are great. 😂🥰

If you're a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate who has built out the issues/positions page on your website and don't specifically address transgender rights in some way, it's noticeable. It's glaring. And that is all I will say on that for now.
Shout-out to Kirsten Gillibrand, Pete Buttigieg, John Delaney, Bernie Sanders, Mike Gravel, Marianne Williamson, and Andrew Yang for at least expressing clear support for transgender rights in their issues page. Some candidates haven't built out an issues page yet.
But some have. One candidate who I will not mention built out an entire issues page and didn't even include LGBTQ rights as a whole, which is curious.

This is what I tracked on all associated accounts for announced 2020 candidates. If you don't see someone on here, take it up with their campaign. I think this is important to point out for all the obvious reasons.
One error: Hickenlooper responded at 11:53pm. My mistake. He somehow got lost in the shuffle of 23 different candidates.

When he appeared on "Inside the Actor's Studio", Dave Chappelle said something that's always stuck with me. He said when he was new to stand-up, still learning it as a teen, he'd go to the local comedy club on two nights every week. (thread)
One of those nights was open mic, where novices and amateurs would try their hand. Chappelle said he'd see folks bomb constantly. The other night was for established stand-up comics. He'd go on these nights to learn the ropes. Figure out how to write.
He said the tandem of these two nights taught him how to work at his craft. The open mic, the amateurs, illuminated what doesn't work. Sometimes, we have to see how things don't work in order to appreciate the value of when they do work.

📌Lesson 1: Don't tell or lecture about the benefits of #rstats, instead show them a demonstration!

People generally are motivated when they see how easy it is to start something small and with a specific example!

my ex: being able to work with multiple dataframes concurrently.
📌Lesson 2: Not every training has to carefully planned!

Sometimes the spontaneous help you offer to a colleague is still training. This training was timely, concise and helped them cross the roadblock.

Ex: I wrote down a quick #STATA to #R translation on a post-it note.

Lot's of news media are trying to explain #ExtinctionRebellion, who they are and what they want. This is what we know.
Extinction Rebellion (XR), like much of the green movement, are almost exclusively drawn from the most degenerate parts of the upper and upper-middle classes. There has never been a posher 'protest' in history.
By 'degenerate' I mean that they have open contempt for democratic, industrial society and hostility towards civilisation. They have very little connection to productive society -- i.e. 'work' as most people understand it. Yet they benefit from it more than almost any other part.
