If the words "I am compelled to speak the truth to you" are followed by:

"You are in sin."
"You are going to hell."
"You are grieving God."
"Your life will be beset with struggles if you reject God"
"God will never allow you to get away with these choices against him.".....
"You wouldn't be suffering from mental and physical health issues if you would come back to God."
"Your orientation will send you to hell."
"Loving that person will send you to hell."
"Accepting your children's orientation and gender will send them to hell."
...........
"Your gender or gender presentation will send you to hell."
"Your kids will grow up to be bad people if you don't raise them in the church. You're sending them to hell."
"You are inviting demons into your home."
"You are displeasing to God and will be punished.".....
...Or any other statement based on ur religion & punitive God-story that is not backed up by any real evidence, science, psychology, or ethics,
that is spoken for the purpose of telling another human being why ur God will punish them for not following him & believing as you do...
...or how he'll send them to hell for loving the wrong people, for loving themselves, for loving the earth, for loving another religion and other gods and goddesses, for fighting for people's rights to do all of these,...
...then it is not the truth you are compelled to speak. It is your version of doctrines from your affiliated religion. That is all. It's not as important as you think it is. It's not worth speaking as flung stones to cause pain and change behavior.
It is not helpful. It will not change someone for the better. Probably we've heard it all before. Probably we've had worse words-as-stones flung at us in the name of your God then covered up by claims of "love" & "concern".
And we've already decided that love doesn't treat people that way and you and your version of God don't understand love at all. You're only proving we were right about all of it.

#Exvangelical
What it will do is alienate people, cause them to see you as someone who cares about dogma more than relationship, someone who thinks we are broken and need you to fix us, when it was your religion and its people and practices and teachings that broke us in the first place.
We do not need your truth. I'd argue that neither do you if it makes you the kind of person who says such things to other humans.
If your "truth" dictates who u can love, allows u to treat others as the enemy & tell them they will be punished when all they r doing is living life their way & spreading love as best they can in this world, standing up for others who are suffering, then ur "truth" is worthless.
