/ For the last 5 years, the #VR builders and entrepreneurs have had to beg people to try their experiences.
/ They had to lug 20 pounds of equipment to pitch meetings, unpack the computer, the sensors and the headset, set it up and then ask people to put a vizor on their heads.
/ They had to sell a vision of their product, being built on a technology that was still unproven.
/ They had to be questioned by people who had not tried #VR, about the feasibility of the industry and the business.
/ Yet still over years, they believed in the future product and the promise of connectivity it would bring.
/ @BoostVC is lucky to have supported 70+ startups in this ecosystem for a long time. And we rejoice today... with the launch of the #quest.
/ There aren’t many moments in technology history that you can point at and say “That was it, that was the product that changed the industry.” I would argue that the past few were the Macintosh and the iPhone for consumer products, today it is the @oculus Quest.
/ The Oculus Quest was not built by one person, it was built by the whole community, which is what makes it special.
/ @oculus Oculus launched the first consumer ready #VR device. This device is going to change society. I'm very proud to be a part of this ecosystem.
/ This ecosystem was built on the hope and promise of a better product, and I believe that @oculus delivered it.
/ Thank you to the builders.

Good technology can often look like magic, and #VR blows my mind.
