According to Michael Cohen, Trump’s lawyer Jay Sekulow suggested Cohen tell Congress that negotiations on Trump Tower Moscow ended in January 2016—something Sekulow knew wasn’t true. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…

If Cohen’s testimony is true, it wouldn’t be the first time Trump’s team directed people to lie to help cover up the Russia scandal. Case in point: the June 9 meeting. theguardian.com/us-news/2018/m…
We all know Trump’s team helped write Trump Jr.’s initial statement to The New York Times, which denied the meeting was related to the campaign. But they also reached out to the meeting's Kremlin-linked participants to coordinate their statements, too. feinstein.senate.gov/public/_cache/…

Whether Cohen can prove his claim remains to be seen. But the allegations against Sekulow are part of a well-established pattern of the White House’s obstructive efforts. themoscowproject.org/dispatch/trump…
