I’m going to vote for @ForChange_Now. It was a choice, for me, between them and the Lib Dems as remain options. There isn’t much between, but I hugely respect @lucianaberger and want to support her new party, and I know and have worked with @JMPSimor, who I also rate highly.
I like Greens as another choice, but politically I feel closer to the other remain options, particularly with the focus on human rights and liberal values. This may end up being my last vote for Change UK, but who knows what tomorrow will bring! Also keeping mind open on Greens!

The Mail on Sunday is reporting that the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) will launch a formal statutory investigation into the Labour Party's handling of antisemitism.

This is the second time a Sunday newspaper has made the same claim - see Sunday Times over a month ago.

Entirely possible that EHRC has been sitting on the decision, or quietly proceeding, because didn't want to impact on local and Euro elections /2

I used to do quite a bit of graphic design - I'm no expert but I like to think I have an eye for it. The Change UK fliers and advertising hurts me so much I can hardly look at it. I can't even bear to post an image of the flier I just received as it's not fair to my followers
Also, I know Twitter is hardly the place to say this but by making this election about Farage and his ideas you just draw attention to Farage and his ideas. Framing theory 101. Also applies to milkshaking him

It's just a repeat of the mistakes from the first Brexit referendum - by focussing on the lies of the Brexit campaign the end result was just giving them more attention. The mistake is thinking that people trust you more than them

Today is the Punya Thithi of Alluri Sitarama Raju, the great revolutionary hero who led an uprising against the British in the tribal regions of Andhra Pradesh, and was shot dead by them on this date in 1924. Another great hero who did not get his due.
One of the more ignored aspects of the Indian freedom struggle has been the various tribal revolts that broke out against the British rule. Tribals were prohibited from cutting trees for firewood, their traditional Podu cultivation was banned, and they were often exploited
Many protests broke out in the tribal areas of Eastern Indian, notably Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Western Odisha, Bengal, one of the more famous one was that of Birsa Munda in Jharkhand.

There is a big and obvious thing that happened in #LocalElections2019 - a surge of support for #remain parties - and it is real.But there is a smaller thing creating a more confusing picture. A theory .... 1/n (picture source @guardian ) #Brexit
The smaller thing is that Labour is doing better in areas that are remain and worse in its strong areas that are #leave. This is a paradox as you would expect the opposite if this was driven by a #RemainBacklash.
And the Tories are the opposite. They are being punished in their areas that are remain. Is this just a plague on both your houses and reveal nothing about voters and #brexit? I don't believe so. And here's my theory.

Issue isn't the total collective campaign spending, it’s about who broke the law & how. #Remain campaigns were fined for failing to submitting returns correctly. They didn’t act fraudulently to overspend. The largest fine was to Lib Dems, £18K. 1/

How about a #Remain manifesto, agreed & promoted by all major Remain groups? #RemainManifesto

The purpose would be to explain how, if we Remain, we can address Leave's concerns and can commit a future govnt to enact them, to the letter. 1/20
The manifesto could address the main reasons we have been told for the Leave vote.

It could focus purely on the key areas - immigration, sovereignty, EU federal plans, EU wastefulness.
It could detail precise ways in which we can protect ourselves from these concerns. 2/20
hy not compromise by changing Britain as it is today, but not by leaving the EU? And save the cost & risk of Brexit.

But I think we should only address the areas directly detailed as being the reasons for the Leave vote. Not what we suspect may be underlying. 3/20

Support for a referendum on the Brexit deal has risen.

Support +11 from 31% to 42% since April 2017
Oppose -8 from 48% to 40%

So @yougov have narrow plurality (+2) in favour for first time.

Splits Remain 66-21 (+45) & Leave voters 19-66 (-47)
So campaigners for a referendum have made progress. Whether or not there could/ should be a referendum has moved from a fairly marginal hypothetical question to a more mainstream media discussion.

But another Brexit referendum in 2019 remains extremely unlikely.
The main reason is not that it is too late (though it is too late).

A Commons vote in Oct/Nov would not give enough time to legislate, then organise (designate campaigns) & hold campaign & vote March 30th 2019

But the Article 50 timetable could be extended (if UK-EU agree).
