Earlier this afternoon, I suddenly received a bunch of notifications within the space of a few minutes that tweets I'd posted or been tagged in had been retweeted by accounts with very few (recent) tweets. . ..

We identified a total of fourteen accounts. All of them were created between 2008 and 2011, and all have been dormant for at least six years prior to today (some have no previous tweets.) They also have self-similar biographies: #FBR, #Resist, and #LGBTQ hashtags are a theme.
All of the recent tweets are retweets, with @RVAwonk the most frequently retweeted user. The topics of the retweeted tweets vary, although they all appear to be recent. We can't be sure of the goal of this group of accounts at this point, but the activity appears coordinated.
We looked through recent retweeters of the main accounts retweeted/followed by the subject accounts, and found 15 more matching the pattern, bringing the total to 29. Interestingly, several of the accounts with tweets prior to their years of dormancy once tweeted in Portuguese.
Checking the most recent 20K followers of the accounts followed by this group of long-dormant accounts expands the set to 94 subject accounts. The pattern of old Portuguese tweets becomes clearer: 2596 of 3048 tweets prior to 2013 (85.2%) are in Portuguese.
Word cloud for the profiles of the 94 long-dormant accounts - in addition to the #FBR/#Resist/#LGBTQ themes we'd already seen, impeachment and Pete Buttigieg turn up as prominent subjects. We'll continue to observe this phenomenon and update this thread accordingly.
