Apologies for Twittersplaining, but this comes up enough that I think it bears mentioning: "gerrymandering" does not mean "rigging a statewide election." It means (re)drawing the boundaries of state and federal LEGISLATIVE districts to give your party more state & DC seats.
Gerrymandering will not impact whether Trump wins re-election, since all but two states allocate Electoral College votes via winner-take-all, not by districts. It will impact congressional and state legislative seats, though. Great explainer here: washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2…
I guess you could call the Electoral College "gerrymandering" based on how state lines were drawn, but what voters fear will happen in 2020 vis-a-vis unfairness or cheating isn't gerrymandering. Twittersplain complete!
