A statement from DNI Dan Coats seems to be generating some apprehension as it can be read as less than fully supportive of AG Barr's efforts:
A couple things worth noting.

First, it was Coats who declassified the April 26, 2017 FISA Court Ruling that unveiled much of the abuse transpiring.

Coats worked closely w/Admiral Rogers after becoming DNI.

Coats gave the farewell speech at Rogers' retirement:

Mike, I can’t thank you enough for your leadership, for all you’ve gone through…We are so grateful for your leadership. I’m so honored to have served with you.
Coats speech begins at the 29:10 mark and ends at the 33:50 mark with a hug from Admiral Rogers.

Rogers begins speaking from this point.

From the Ruling: The Court is nonetheless concerned about the FBI’s apparent disregard of minimization rules and whether the FBI may be engaging in similar disclosures of raw Section 702 information that have not been reported.
