Labour's response to EHRC is classically Corbyn's Labour:
1. We have done nothing wrong
2. If in government we will strength ERHC, (including implication we will increase funding (???!!!))
3. Please stop focussing on this and look at all racism across society e.g. in Tory Party
A regulator has just announced it is investigating your party.

In your response, why would you include an entire paragraph about how you would increase the functions, powers and (it is implied) money of said regulator if in government?
Because there is an implication here that if you screw over our chances of being elected (by being critical in your investigation) you also screw yourselves.

Just amazing. The chutzpah...
The press statement shows that Labour still don't get it, and probably never will under this leadership (and press team).

They see this as all about politics and false consciousness rather than a real problem.
I'm going to say it. Probably shouldn't. But this para is Trump-esque. It's exactly the kind of "you can't really want to investigate me because I want to help you, I really do" stuff which Trump did with Coney, though not as brazen.
