One has to keep repeating: As ex-DNI Clapper wrote, the aim of дезинформация is to sow doubt: “If someone actually believes the falsehood, that’s a bonus, but the primary objective is to get readers or viewers to throw their hands up and give up on ‘facts’”: DJT's MO all over.
The more I think about Trump's defense of the Russians in the MH17 case, the more it sickens me. He was speaking after the initial very careful Dutch findings in 2015. His version: "Who knows?" This is a pattern that goes beyond cynical politics to excuse and embrace evil.
