Culture contains elements of experience, learned behaviour, knowledge, meanings. relations, power structures, capabilities,
values, possessions. belief & attitudes.

Each of these elements have context and can be mapped. Once again, as with strategy, no-one has done the mapping.
... lots of discussion about context, evolution and the transient nature of culture from what is learned to what is socially inherited. But ... no maps, no mechanism of learning around the elements. Once again, what the hell have business schools been teaching?
As a subject it is as fuzzy as strategy which means the line - "culture eats strategy for breakfast" roughly translates into "this huge amount of hand waving eats that huge amount of hand waving for breakfast". Too much verbiage and no situational awareness ...

Let us add some points of interest i.e. the amphitheatre, the local temple etc

You could spend £300 on a bike, skip the bacon butty (if that's your thing) and donate £9,700 to a homeless charity changing the lives of a huge number of people. Way more karma. Good for the body and the soul ->

Me : Well, it beats spending £10k on a bike, claiming it as a tax deductible expense on your consultancy company and then whinging about benefit claimants as some sort of leech on the system whilst you tuck into your third bacon butty.
X : Are bicycles tax deductible?
Me : You're kidding? Or maybe not. You know that somewhere, some plonker has tried to claim a £10k bicycle as a legitimate tax deductible expense for "travel" in their consultancy company. It's so shameless that it has bound to have happened.

So understand that, as I think @Mij_Europe first mentioned, the focus of meetings is on examining texts that might "entrench" whatever promises Labour get from Tories in this negotiation - and the current focus of this is in text of Withdrawal Agreement Bill. /2
@Mij_Europe It goes without saying that all this is moot if Tories and Labour cannot agree a deal. And with Labour digging in on Second Referendum requirement and Tories spooked by Brexit Party and prospects of customs union deal...it's hard (to put it kindly) to see how a deal happens/3

I talked to business lobby groups, Stephen Kelly from @ManufacturingNI fresh back from talks with Barnier. And bosses of big companies.

The are surprisingly sanguine. /2

- all-UK in a temporary customs Union
- Northern Ireland only in Single Market for goods, via devolution
- no checks GB-NI

Two EU sources say UK discreetly asked about extending #Brexit transition beyond Dec 31 2020. The EU said 'no'.

The UK government categorically denies this exchange ever happened. My latest.

The EU offer of transition to Dec 31 2020 is plainly inadequate - just 21 months. The date is picked because it is the end of their budget cycle. Both sides know this. /2
The UK position - per Mrs May in Florence - is "about two years"

If the UK wanted transition to Dec 31 2021, that would be two years, nine months. Also inadequate. /3
