There are FOUR significant selective edits in the transcript of Dowd's call to Flynn's attorney as it is presented in the Mueller report.

These are underlined in the screenshot below.

1. Mueller omitted that Dowd expressed sympathy at the outset.

The omission of "I'm sympathetic" is notable because in the very next paragraph Mueller goes on to detail a call where Dowd was "indignant and vocal" about Flynn's withdrawal from the joint defense agreement. The sympathy in the transcript did not fit the obstruction narrative.

2. Mueller cut out language which would show that Dowd discussed two separate issues in the call.

“I understand that you can’t join the joint defense; so that’s one thing. On the other hand…”

Mueller's selective removal of that language artificially conflated the discussion about the withdrawal from the joint defense agreement and the request for a "heads up" in case national security issues are involved in the interaction with the special counsel.

3. The most egregious of Mueller's selective edits removed the fact that Dowd premised the request for information with Flynn's attorney do so "without you having to give up any confidential information" and that this was "not only for the president, but for the country."

Cohen refers to the selective edits as NEW information, as though Mueller didn't have access to this when filing the report (he did).
