THREAD

1)
In an interview with @CNN today, @jrezaian claimed he is a “journalist.”

To the Iranian Diaspora, Rezaian is nothing but a known & disgraced #Iran regime apologist/lobbyist writing pro-Tehran articles despite being jailed in Tehran.
2)
If there was any doubt that @jrezaian of the @WashingtonPost is an #Iran regime apologist/lobbyist, this should be the final nail in the coffin.

Despite being jailed by this regime, Rezaian calls for the U.S. to actually trade with the mullahs.

3)
Here @jrezaian reveals where he gets his talking points from: @JZarif
4)
@jrezaian says believes freeing "Iran from the mullahs' tyranny" can be accomplished by opening "unrestricted commercial trade with Iran."

Meaning: A return to the Obama years...
5)
@jrezaian calls for "economic engagement" with #Iran's regime.

Here's a reminder for Jason about how Tehran will use such money.
6)
@jrezaian calls for supporting "Iran’s private sector..."
Let's take a close look at who control's #Iran's economy.

7)
@jrezaian blows his cover here, expressing his actual concern (and that of #Iran's regime).
8)
Then @jrezaian calls for "Altering bad behavior through prolonged commercial relations..."

And we know how #Iran spends that money.

But @jrezaian doesn’t care.
9)
One wonders why @jrezaian, a former prisoner of #Iran’s regime, would think it would be rational to collaborate with such ruthless mullahs.

He blows his cover & proves his Iran apologist nature by claiming Rouhani is “calling for greater freedoms for the people of Iran…”
10)
“Iran is a country of vast resources,” says @jrezaian, yet doesn't mention the fact that #Iran’s rulers plunder this wealth for their own survival.

“80% of Iranians are living in poverty” (Farsi source👇)

11)
I have strong suspicions about how @jrezaian was so conveniently released from the mullahs' prisons as part of the highly flawed Obama/Kerry 2015 nuclear deal with #Iran.

And after returning to the U.S., he began writing pro-Tehran articles in WaPo.

Coincidence?
12)
Listen to an interview with a former Iranian intelligence minister explaining how Tehran’s spy agency uses “reporters”...
13)
@jrezaian’s links with @NIACouncil (Iran’s known & disgraced DC-based lobby group), @tparsi & @jzarif are the nail in the coffin for me.

#NIACLobbies4Mullahs
#NIACviolatesFARA
14)
On @jrezaian’s time in #Iran as a “journalist”…
“Journalists” in Iran are most certainly cooperating with the regime, or else they’re kicked out.

A letter from Iran's Ministry of Intelligence & Security shows a permit issued for @ReutersIran before visiting the city of Qom.
15)
And after spending time in Iran’s jails, why did you, @jrezaian, wait in line to vote for Rouhani?

Why would you legitimize this regime?
16)
I have explained why I consider @jrezaian is an apologist/lobbyist of Tehran’s mullahs.

I encourage everyone to do their own reading & research.

Do not fall for Rezaian spending time in Iran’s jails.

His release & reentry into the U.S. continues to serve the mullahs well.
