I gotta say that that Twitter has become an indispensable part of my writing process. An afternoon rant-ish thing about the Jeffrey Goldberg comment turned into a blog post that took me less than an hour to write soup to nuts. Exercising the ideas on here was the first draft.
There's something about knowing I'm writing for an audience (however small) on here that does something to juice my thinking in ways drafting to the page can't match. Thinking about how to capture this with students without putting them at risk, recognizing Twitter isn't safe.
There's something also knowing that I can't spend more than 10-15 minutes away from my other work that spurs things on. How do I capture that energy for students in ways that keeps them safe and allows them the latitude to try stuff out?
