.@parachutehome sheets may be as great as advertised—we’ll see—and their exterior shipping package was great:cardboard box, minimal tape, no fillers. But the deets come in their own little cotton bag AND a plastic sleeve. We need to severe “clean/new” from “plastic.”
We have allowed the fucking oil and chemical companies to delude is into thinking plastic wraps and packaging means hygienic and safer. For a few things yes. For vast majority of things, to the contrary.
So sorry to pick on @parachutehome (though also those cotton bags are a total waste) but things won’t change until we point out and demand change, and change our buying habits accordingly.
While we are at it: plastic tampon applicators are no more hygienic than cardboard/no applicator. And that is plastic all but guaranteed never to be recycled motherjones.com/environment/20…
Extremely green moms who would never let their kids have plastic bottles, binkies etc but use plastic tampon applicators?
