Good morning to all my new Andrew Yang fan followers. I'm curious about you because you're so passionate about him and he seems to make you so hopeful.
Before I move on to Amy Klobuchar, I've got a few questions for you. 1. How much do you think it would cost? (Please don't use Yang's figure, work it out on the back of a napkin.)
2. What would happen to the economy if this were imposed as a VAT tax? How high would that tax have to be to pay for this?
3. If Yang's argument is, "This is coming," why do it now, rather than waiting until it happens? It is, after all, extremely hard to predict the future,

and everyone who's pointed out that there's never been an innovation that hasn't caused fear of widespread unemployment is correct.
Perhaps this is a scheme that should be tried by states, first, in the areas that have already been badly hit by the decline of manufacturing?
