So, a "feminist blog" wrote a nasty piece on my defense of chivalry, not surprisingly (I won't include a link because they don't deserve the clicks). The most striking thing is that the author referred to me as a "random lady". She was able to do enough research (aka Googling)...
...to find a picture of my action figure (to of course, be condescending about), but couldn't be bothered to give me credit for any one of my professional achievements. No mention of award-winning, bestselling author. No mention of being a public and private company director...
...No mention of doing $2 billion+ worth of transactions. No mention of being a reality TV show judge, radio host, media commentator, etc... I'm a random lady. And this is the problem with "feminism". Since I don't fit the narrative and fall in line, they won't acknowledge...
...that I LIVE the things that they TALK about. That I have been professionally and financially successful- often more so than male peers. That I mentor other women. That I have confidence and don't take sh*t from anyone. And I do it without having to drag anyone else down...
That's what "feminism" should be about...but hey, why listen to a "random lady"?

And this is why I can't and don't call myself a "feminist".
