2/ Christopher Steele revealed two of his sources, Vyacheslav Trubnikov and Vladislav Surkov, to State Department official Kathy Kavalec. Of note, Stefan Halper arranged Cambridge visits for Trubnikov in 2012 and 2015. dailycaller.com/2019/05/16/ste…
3/ @dbongino had an excellent podcast covering this information on May 17th, that I recommend everyone give a spin. The only missing piece from the show was that Dan did not specifically point to which source he believed Trubnikov to be in the Dossier.
4/ I and many others have concluded that Vyacheslav Trubnikov is most likely Source B from the Dossier, a former top level intelligence officer (SVR Director) still active inside the Kremlin (First Deputy Foreign Minister).
5/ Read that passage again. "Speaking to a trusted compatriot in June 2016 sources A and B, the Russian authorities... This terrible English leaves me unable to determine who Steele was actually talking to. Was he speaking to his own compatriot (i.e Halper/Dearlove) or a Russian?
6/ The theory has been that Trubnikov led this disinformation campaign to interfere in our election. But I gather that Steele never spoke to Trubnikov, it's all second hand. What if he spoke to either Dearlove or Halper and they just fabricated the Trubnikov "intelligence"?
7/ @RealSLokhova is suing Halper for defamation, alleging that he spread lies about her being a Russian intelligence asset and having an intimate relationship with @GenFlynn. politico.com/blogs/under-th…
8/ So if Halper was willing to completely fabricate dirt about Flynn and Svetlana, who's to say he and/or Dearlove wouldn't create dirt about @POTUS and attribute it to the Russians? Steele must answer who the "trusted compatriot" is and if he or anyone ever spoke to Trubnikov.
9/ @JohnBrennan must also answer if his "sourcing deep inside the Russian Government" was Trubnikov or if he just received this information via Steele and/or Halper, who in turn attributed to Trubnikov. washingtonpost.com/graphics/2017/…
10/ I want to know what you think, do my concerns about who actually created the disinformation have merit? Who do you think fabricated the @realDonaldTrump Source A and B dirt?
