"But among the voices that rang powerfully for President Trump was that of one of his favorite Fox News hosts: Tucker Carlson." nytimes.com/2019/06/21/us/…

Here's what the rest of the Fox News cabinet wants him to do on Iran: mediamatters.org/blog/2019/06/2…
That the situation, at least at this point, has been resolved along my preferred policy lines does not make it less insane that the president is dialing Fox News hosts for advice on whether to drop bombs.
(Indeed, a reasonable argument against bombing Iran is that Trump is a malleable buffoon who takes advice from the TV and shouldn't be in charge of what could easily spiral into war.)
Retired general Jack Keane, a Fox News military analyst who has twice turned down an offer to be Trump's Defense Secretary and privately advises him, also turns up in this story with a lot of detail on what Trump knew.
"But the battle for Trump's ear is not over."

Indeed: mediamatters.org/blog/2019/06/2…
