There you have it. The goal of citizenship question all along was to draw districts to shift power to white GOP areas
Trump ordering Commerce Dept to still collect citizenship data means GOP can try to draw districts based on citizenship rather than total population in 2021. GOP gerrymandering guru said this would be “advantageous to Republicans & Non-Hispanic Whites.”

Gov’t said yesterday they were printing census forms without question based on July 1 deadline

This is not rocket science, friends.

Asking the #citizenship #question is #necessary for the #federal #government to #fulfill its #role in #advising #Congress regarding #enforcement of the #constitutional #right to #vote.
So it is #perplexing to read #newsreports that @TheJusticeDept is searching for a #path to #inclusion of the #citizenship #question.

Why is this a #puzzle for you?
The @uscensusbureau must do the best it can to accurate #ascertain #both the #number of #persons and the #number of #citizens.
