Had a conversation with my mom after she saw @chrislhayes basically pleading with that goddamn Republican to end the suffering of children at the hands of this administration.
People with voice and opportunity are saying the things. These @realDonaldTrump people just don’t care.

I don’t think people who aren’t *in it* everyday appreciate just how evil the Republican Party has become under @realDonaldTrump. There’s a stubborn and gleeful aspect to their cruelty now. They’re so far into it, they have to like it now.

I have no clue how to stop them. But I know pretending that these people have any shred of decency left is not the way. These people... you just don’t “come back” from terrorizing children. Once you realize you’re the kind of person who can defend that, you are gone.

All I can promise is that, when the wheel turns, I won’t forget what they’ve done. Many will. Many will try to go back to “normal” with these people. I will not. Not forgetting, and not letting them forget what they’ve done, will be the very least I can do.
