#Spain’s secret service (#CNI) admitted “contacts” with Abdelbaki Es Satty, the mastermind behind the terror cell but didn't clarify their frequency, duration or remuneration, only that they were within the “protocol established for convicts” 17/11/2017

CNI director Félix Sanz Roldán asked to appear before the official secrets committee in Congress to clarify the matter but the presence of ERC & PDeCAT was considered "dangerous" and, as a result, the hearing was "decaffeinated". No details.

According to the prison service case file, Es Satty was visited by 4 unidentified officers on various occasions while in Castelló jail for a drug conviction 2010-2014. This collaboration enabled him to avoid deportation from Spain.

Within days of the attacks El Periódico editor Enric Hernàndez published a "nota" - a supposed warning from CIA to Mossos full of mistakes. Ultimately, Hernàndez was sacked, but his forgery for the Fatherland landed him the TVE director's role.🎖️

Victims of terrorism are often nauseatingly used as political footballs in #Spain. Some even become politicians.

The Barcelona & Cambrils victims - the 14 dead and 140 casualties from 35 different countries - deserve some respect too: to know the truth.

Today, Fri, 28 June, #Spanish police & intelligence officials get their 2nd opportunity to appear before the commission investigating the terrorist attacks in #Catalonia in Aug 2017.

lf they do not appear, the Board of Parliament can refer the case to the public prosecutor.
