I'll close with this: If your argument for Biden is that he can "take on Trump" and you saw tonight, and you think he can "take on Trump" but Harris *cannot*... then your argument is just "I only think an old white man can beat Trump." That's all you've got.

And... that's an argument. That was essentially @MichaelAvenatti's argument. But if that's your argument, you have to own it at least as much as Avenatti does. You have to stop lying to yourself, or at least to me, and acting like you have some deeper meaning or point.

@MichaelAvenatti "I like Biden because he's a white man." That's ALL that tonight left you with. Own it. Deal with it. Consider what that means, to you and to the country.

If you want something MORE than the "best available white man" many non-Biden things happened tonight and last to excite you

@MichaelAvenatti Me, and it's *just because* I'm black, I'll OWN that, but for me, I REFUSE to cede this whole damn thing just because I'm TOO AFRAID to put the future of the country in the hands of a non-white or a woman. I REFUSE to accept the premise that the white male way is the only way.

@MichaelAvenatti You CANNOT SCARE ME by telling me that white people who voted for Trump in Wisconsin will punish me with more Trump if I DARE to use my vote, one the ancestors have bled for, on anything other than a white male. I'm too old and too black to succumb to that kind of peer pressure.

@MichaelAvenatti If Biden is the nominee, I will of course vote for him. I'll vote for Marianne freaking Williamson. I'll vote for the guy on the L train who likes to rub his ass on the pole.
But he's NOT the nominee. He's just a candidate whose only policy seems to be "c'mon, folks, ya know?"

@MichaelAvenatti I *desperately* want to beat Trump. Tonight I saw a woman who will look Trump in the eye, and punch him right in his damn mouth. Last night, I saw a woman who has policy plans I'd dream about if I had smarter dreams. In others I've seen real change. Real reform. I've got options.
