You can tell Jake’s accustomed to having women cringe and crawl away when he yells at them to shut up. For all the yelling about “rules” (which he was breaking), Jake simply couldn’t absorb the shock that a woman has the right to speak, when he would prefer she not.
.@JakeCorman owes the entire PA Senate an apology. His party chairman should direct him to seek counseling.
Thing is, nothing in the letter Sen. Muth was reading should have been unsettling, terrifying, or offensive to a normal person. His point of order was overruled by the presiding official. That made him the one out of order. But he just kept tantruming.
All I can figure is: Corman was so viscerally-triggered by the sight of a white woman reading a letter from a black man (who was in the audience watching) that his lizard brain took over and he completely lost control. Reaction so over-the-top it makes zero sense otherwise.
Yet, I’m also sure that Jake behaves this way routinely. No part of him kicked in and said “I’d better stop now, I’m losing it.”
