💥 NEW: Labour has accused the BBC of interfering in the political process by failing to adequately cover Tory Islamophobia

The party lodged two explosive complaints with the national broadcaster this week

Formal complaint sent by Labour on Wednesday claims there has been a “stark contrast” between the BBC’s coverage of anti-Muslim bigotry in the Tory party and its reporting on the anti-Semitism row involving Chris Williamson this week

– tweets of BBC political reporters

– BBC's failure to cover a poll showing half of Tory members hold anti-Muslim views

– BBC failing to hold Boris Johnson to account for his views and alleged "turd" cover up

Labour to BBC: “The point of this is not to say that we think this development in Chris Williamson’s disciplinary case should not have been covered”

But they demand to “know the reasons why Monday’s poll was not deemed as newsworthy; what were the editorial considerations”
Labour want a meeting with BBC bosses to discuss their concerns

BBC spokesperson: “BBC News has covered allegations of Islamophobia in the Conservative party on many occasions. We have received the letter and will respond in due course.”

Amber Rudd allies saying she has shifted on no deal today because “things have changed since March”. They say she accepts she has to compromise and now agree to put no deal back on the table
Rudd camp concede she has to compromise on no deal because everything else has failed and the Brexit Party changes the dynamic

They say the EU needs to compromise on a deal, ERG need to compromise to back it, and she needs to compromise to keep no deal in the govt’s “armoury”
Jeremy Hunt has also publicly questioned whether Rudd could serve in his cabinet if she didn’t shift on no deal. She says she wants to continue serving to “make a difference to people’s lives”

NEW: Labour declares all out war on the BBC, accusing Panorama of “deliberate and malicious misrepresentations designed to mislead the public” in a detailed rebuttal of tonight’s documentary
This is an astonishing attack on the BBC’s journalism... Labour claims their responses to Panorama have been “misrepresented” by the programme and says the programme has selectively quoted and “deliberately misrepresented” the emails handed to them by hostile ex-staffers
Panorama claims Seumas Milne directly demanded to be involved in the disciplinary process. Full emails released by Labour appear to show the former employee who leaked the emails actually asked Loto for their view first... this was not mentioned by the BBC in its press release

Since October, Facebook has been publishing data on who’s been buying political ads on its platform. Brexit campaigns on both sides have been spending heavily trying to persuade voters. Two groups in particular are most interesting — they both happen to be pushing a hard Brexit.
Britain’s Future and We Are The 52% sprang seemingly from nowhere a few months ago. BF has been the biggest-spending political advertiser on Facebook in the UK since October, its ads seen tens of millions of times. But virtually nothing is known about their origins and donors.

First off, we must thank-you all. We launched a poll on Monday expecting maybe 500 responses maximum. Instead we had a whopping three-thousand-two-hundred-and-thirty votes on our Twitter poll.

That’s ridiculous.
We asked you which party you thought had the oldest average age of MPs.

Most of you, 66%, thought it was the @Conservatives, then the @LibDems (15%), then @UKLabour (14%), with the @theSNP coming in last with (5%).

I bet the SNP are feeling fairly youthful right about now.
