17/…that @hashgraph has the opportunity to become the 2nd layer (the trust layer) of the Internet. We are talking about trillions of dollars of value per year that will be generated as a result of the disintermediation that it creates. This isn't just about decentralized money.
18/ The cryptocurrency is the commodity that fuels the platform. It's what allows applications to make API calls and it is used to stake the network and run nodes, but as a result of its utility, it has the potential to be truly decentralized money in a way that nothing else can.
19/ The challenge for @hashgraph at this stage is to manage the transition successfully from being a partially permissioned database run by mostly trusted node operators to being fully permissionless. This is what the "path to decentralization" is about.
20/ Calling @hashgraph "a revolution" is giving a clichéd and often misused word its proper application. I believe it has the potential to create wealth and solve problems on a scale not seen since the adoption and proliferation of the Internet protocols in the 1990s.
