It's a satire of narcissism and the New Age, done in a horror format.
Cheyenne Henry doesn't really exist. She's a fictional character.
Satire is not supposed to make anybody feel good about themselves. It is a cruel genre, by its very nature.

To create a fictional world in which women are never harmed is, on a subconscious level. to encourage one's female membership to imagine itself in a world in which it needs to use far less caution than it does.
She trusted the world far too much for her own good, and paid a terrible price for her lack of understanding.
When I give you a character who is a piece of excrement, I remind the reader of that need.
If so, that's seriously messed up.
