While it has taken several months for the mainstream media and the majority of Democrats to catch on, there is finally bipartisan consensus regarding the existence of an immigration crisis at the United States-Mexico border.
When reports of appalling conditions at some border detention facilities began to spread, it became clear that there was a moral imperative that something must be done to combat this undeniable humanitarian crisis.
On Thursday, the House passed a bipartisan Senate humanitarian aid package which allocates $4.59 billion in supplemental border funding with the ultimate goal of addressing the reports of unacceptable conditions at migrant detention centers.
Instead of celebrating a rare moment of successful partisanship, the progressive wing of the Democratic Party have unwittingly revealed their true colors.
Several radical members of the American Left have spent recent weeks mimicking The Simpsons’ Helen Lovejoy, with cries of “Won’t somebody please think of the children?!”
Displaying shameless levels of millennial narcissism, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez even posted staged photos of herself crying beside the fence of a Texas detention center. Not one photograph actually showed the focus of her apparent distress.
If we lived in a rational world, we would expect those who have been openly emotional in support of migrants and their children to be relieved when legislative progress alleviates the immediate issues faced at the border.
However, the fresh faces of the Democratic Party routinely prove that we no longer live in a rational world.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was vocally furious that Nancy Pelosi passed the bipartisan Senate bill.
Not only did she refuse to support the bipartisan Senate bill, AOC was joined by fellow Dem “fresh faces” Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib in voting against the House bill passed by Dems earlier in the week, also written w/the goal of addressing the border crisis.
AOC and her radical compatriots are truly devoid of morality, integrity, and substance. Ocasio-Cortez is happy to wax lyrical and compare the border detention centers to Holocaust-esque concentration camps.
She is happy to promote herself as a morally-superior personality on social media, expertly selecting the perfect Instagram filter to highlight the tears rolling from her eyes. But the complete lack of action indicates where their hearts truly lie.
Time has come for people to realize the game that the radical Left plays. They present themselves as defenders of morality, warriors of compassion, proponents of social justice.
The truth is that they are moral terrorists, who take hostage the victims they claim to wish to protect, using their suffering as a weapon to push their own political ideology.

Either Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez care about the children at the border, or they don’t.
Using their moral logic, if they cared about the children, they would have done whatever it took to provide them with the resources they so desperately need.
This week, they proved that they don’t care about the children. For them, children are simply disposable tools in their macabre pursuit of power.
