Ward says Graydon Carter cut her 2003 piece so that it wouldn't include on the record allegations from two young women who said Epstein molested them.

Ward, who was pregnant when reporting the story, also says #Epstein threatened her unborn twins if he didn't like the story.
.@VickyPJWard says she took Epstein's threats seriously enough that she had additional security placed at the hospital where her sons were born.

These feel both like naive questions and the unsaid thing in all of these articles.
A friend puts it better than me:

For 1st year+, we got watered-down Trump, thanks to the "adults" in the room, who occasionally pushed back against his worst impulses.

These days, it's Trump unchained. I'm starting to think maybe it would have been better for us to have gotten this version from the get go.
1) Without the slow build, it may have shocked more members of the GOP?

2) There would have been no pretense that any of this is normal?
But with tanks on the streets of DC and images of people in cages, it's pretty clear this is Trump's vision for America, and he is finally make it a reality.

According to @DHSgov budget docs, there are roughly 22,000 border patrol agents.

That means 9,500 is over 40 percent of today's staff. dhs.gov/sites/default/…
The secret border patrol Facebook group, which has about 9,500 members, reportedly includes former agents too. So the 9,500 number is not all people currently in government.
But it isn't clear yet whether it is the actions of just a "few" as Brian Hastings, chief of operations for US Border Patrol, said:

Dmytro Zhmailo, spokesman/executive director of Free People, member of Youth Nationalist Congress (MNK), and senior staff for Ukrainian MP Oleh Medunytsia, who himself chaired MNK 2002-2006. Among others, Zhmailo is FB friends with CUN leader S.Bratsiun.
Pavlo Podobied, head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance's Department for the Preservation of Places of Memory, according to Newsweek, has "accused Jews of being the main perpetrators of Soviet crimes against Ukrainians in the 1920s and 1930s." (1/2)
