The Affordable Care Act is back in court today. Let’s talk about it. (THREAD)
One of President Trump’s 1st priorities was an attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act—including its protections for those with pre-existing conditions. This effort failed because he couldn’t come up with a new plan, and even Republicans wouldn’t repeal the healthcare law.
So they tried again. This time, they argued in federal court that the entire ACA should be overturned. And keep in mind they STILL haven’t proposed an alternative plan for what would happen if the lawsuit is successful.
This is a big deal! This lawsuit could jeopardize lives of the 20 million people. They. Have. No. Alternative. Healthcare. Plan.

Trust me, I know the ACA is far from perfect. That’s why I support bold action to deliver on better healthcare for all Americans. But repealing the ACA will set us backwards.
