1. We have shared how your assignment has to do with works and some activities but ‘being’ precedes ‘doing’. And we explored how special we are; how our lives are designed by God and how we are miracles walking on two legs. #FulfillingYourMinistry

2. Your life is too small to be the purpose of your life. Your assignment on this planet is tied to service; it is tied to your capacity to meet needs in other peoples’ lives. Mark 10:45 (NLT). #FulfillingYourMinistry

3. Start by receiving forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ. And then receive a change of nature. When you are forgiven the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity comes to live in you; and Holy Spirit can never leave you the same. #FulfillingYourMinistry

4. The Holy Spirit lives in you, motivating you, directing you; your life can never remain the same again. First, He produces in your life, the character of God. Second, He produces the competence of God – the capacity of God to make things happen. #FulfillingYourMinistry

5. The Holy Spirit produces the two in your life. Both the character and the competence enable you to add value to others. #FulfillingYourMinistry

6. Let’s talk about your character – your capacity to love other people for example. The Holy Spirit gives us the capacity to love other people. Remember, God is love. If God is love and you are now created in his image, you are love personified. #FulfillingYourMinistry

7. Instead of love, people are receiving rejection from home, dejection, hatred, rivalry, and bitterness. Some of the deepest hurt that we will experience in this life will come from the family. #FulfillingYourMinistry

8. So, people need love – don’t underestimate that. If you have developed capacity to love, I am telling you, you are going to be a blessing to other people. Show love, value people, and be willing to make sacrifices for them. 1John 3:16 (NLT). #FulfillingYourMinistry

9. Holy Spirit gives us the capacity to love others. And when we love people like that we forgive and give to them - these are two dimensions to love. Why is there so much bitterness and hatred in our world today? Because there isn’t enough forgiveness. #FulfillingYourMinistry

10. Forgiveness is writing off a debt - emotional debt. When someone offends you, you forgive them and write off that debt. But here we are; so much bitterness in our world – husband doesn’t forgive wife and vice versa wife; marriage breaks apart. #FulfillingyourMinistry

11. Parent doesn’t forgive child; child does not forgive parent and family is torn apart. Neighbours don’t forgive each other; colleagues don’t forgive each other, people are hurting all over the world. #FulfillingyourMinistry

12. So if you are that person that can forgive & give sacrificially, you are going to be adding massive value. We don’t try to quantify these things because they are intangible, but I am saying to you–You are a world-changer when you chose to walk in love #FulfillingYourMinistry

13. See, people have needs; intangible needs include love, sense of belonging & self-esteem. When you check the Maslow Hierarchy of Needs those come at the top. You have the basic material needs like food, security, & safety; those are levels one and two.

14. Once you hit level three they become intangible needs – the need for love and belonging, for self-esteem and sense of significance. So, meeting basic needs – the needs for food and shelter, that’s where we start from. #FulfillingYourMinistry

15. When you are kind; that is character. When you are generous, that is character. When you have the capacity to bear with somebody’s weakness; when you can accept someone without condition that is character. #FulfillingYourMinistry

16. So, let’s talk about this other dimension of the work of Holy Spirit in our lives. The first dimension (Character) which the quality the Holy Spirit produces in us is the fruit of the Spirit, while the other part is described as the gift of the Spirit #FulfillingYourMinistry

17. I want to remind you that you are specially crafted by the hand of God, you are God’s masterpiece. Holy Spirit equips you with a personality or temperament and with gifts that enable you to solve problems in a unique way. #FulfillingYourMinistry

18. So for a start, you need to know your temperament. You know why? Because it describes your wiring for solving peoples’ problems or meeting peoples’ needs. #FulfillingYourMinistry

19. You may be Choleric – the goal-oriented and extroverted one. They are not shy; they build relationships with people quickly. But the important thing is they have this capacity to mobilize people to achieve a goal; they don’t take no for an answer. #FulfillingYourMinistry

20. You may be Sanguine – super extrovert, friendly, exciting, and life of the party. You may be Melancholic – deep and super introvert; build up your energy by being alone; creative in art, music and usually an inventor. You were wired for a purpose. #FulfillingYourMinistry

21. You may be Phlegmatic – the nicest and mildest of the temperament. Fantastic with details; they make a very good accountant or thrive in any job that requires mastery of details. God wants to use that. #FulfillingYourMinistry

22. Each of these temperaments was designed by God for a purpose; designed to meet some specific needs. Do you want to know how you are equipped to solve problems for people? Check your temperament; the strengths and weaknesses. You need to know yourself. #FulfillingYourMinistry

23. When you buy a car; you read the manual to understand the features & the investment of thought that gone into the making it. If you don’t know what the special features are, you cannot enjoy them. So you want to understand this equipment called ‘you’ #FulfillingYourMinistry

24. If let’s say as a Sanguine, you like to talk, what you want to do is to study communication. Why? People don’t like to buy raw foods or raw gold, but the refined and processed to useable state. So take your raw gift and develop it. #FulfillingYourMinistry

25. If you are Melancholic, then you want to develop your thinking ability since that is your strength. You want to understand how minds work. That is what I am talking about. Develop your strength! Call on the Holy Spirit to help manage your weaknesses. #FulfillingYourMinistry

26. And that brings me to what we call gift or talent. The Holy Spirit gives us gifts. You have an innate gift. So, find your genius! Talents enable you to achieve extra-ordinary result. #FulfillingYourMinistry

27. My definition of genius – the ability to handle complexity & delivers the product to the end-user in simplicity. I don’t need to understand the technology behind the iPhone, iPod or the iMac, all I need is to punch or click and the thing should work. #FulfillingYourMinistry

28. You know the beautiful thing, you have your area of genius and as a Christian, the Holy Spirit has empowered you to be able to serve other people around you when you found your area of genius like that. #FulfillingYourMinistry

29. My encouragement today is that you discover, develop, release and maximize your spiritual gifts and talents. Read Romans 12:4-10 (NLT). #FulfillingYourMinistry

30. You may not have identified your gift or yours may not even have a name yet, but if you know there is a particular area you function specially, identify it, develop it, the world needs you there; move to the area of your genius. (1Cor. 12:7-11). #FulfillingYourMinistry

31. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. Romans 12:6-8 #FulfillingYourMinistry

32. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” #FulfillingYourMinistry

33. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,” Ephesians 4:11-12 #FulfillingYourMinistry

34. “A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. 1Cor.12:7-8 #FulfillingYourMinistry

35. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. 1Cor.12:9 #FulfillingYourMinistry

36. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. 1Cor.12:10 #FulfillingYourMinistry

37. Another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one & only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have” #FulfillingYourMinistry

38. Somebody say with me – I am gifted! I am a genius! Most people can’t say that; they believe they are ordinary or average. They believe and celebrate talents in others but believed they are inferior. Perish the thought. God never made a failure. Help #FulfillingYourMinistry

39. Turn the focus away from yourself. You will not find that genius, that gift will not come into full operations as long as your focus is on yourself. It is time we serve other people, and you are incredibly gifted already to do it. #FulfillingYourMinistry
