Being psychic doesn’t mean you’re special or “chosen”. In fact it often comes with many afflictions and disturbances if not handled properly.

It just simply means you are sensitive to perceiving things like spirits, elementals, non physical beings and the supernatural.

In my experience mentoring people with extra sensory gifts one of the most common questions I get asked is how do I deal with feelings and experiences of sensitivity overwhelm, psychic disturbances, nightmares, “negative” energies, sleep paralysis and so on.

Many times you will go to an infected place and then be able to recognize something “followed” you back. It’s quite easy to pick up energies. One of the most important things I can say is to know your own power. There are many ways you can help yourself if you are being disturbed

Of all of the tools and techniques that come from all of the various traditions, they are given their purest activation based on your intention, your heart energy, your wisdom, your clarity and your level of attunement with the Divine.

The only times I experience psychic disturbances now is when I am ungrounded from traveling (especially to sacred sites) or when I have become distracted from my relationship with God. In both cases the most direct way back is simply through prayer.
