Garri does not cause eye defects

Sugar does not cause diabetes, your body's inability to handle sugar leads to diabetes

Groundnuts don't cause pimples, when a pore becomes blocked, you have acne, it can trigger, not cause

Please focus on your handle

Your body has an organ called the pancreas. Your pancreas releases a hormone called insulin that manages your sugar levels by driving it into your cells.

It also helps your body store sugar and plays a role in converting sugar to fat because your cells are not using them
Now for some people, their pancreas cannot produce insulin. That is called diabetes, type 1.

Type 2 diabetes? Happens usually because your body no longer responds to insulin or has become resistant to insulin.

Does sugar cause either? Not directly
How does sugar come in?

The type 2 diabetes can be triggered by many factors including Obesity, alcohol, a family history, a sendetary lifestyle etc

Taking too much sugar can lead to obesity which my tip the scales and you develop diabetes
Does that mean you should lose your home training when it comes to garri, groundnuts and sugar?

Before you do that, high carbohydrate diets can be a risk factor for diabetes, garri is a high carbohydrate diet,

So eat with your sense. Moderation is key
If you have a family history of diabetes, then be careful with what you eat, watch your weight and exercise has to be a part of your lifestyle.

Keep constant checks on your sugar levels
