Hey @hereandnow, all this weak statement does is make Dr. Milov sound like a research assistant, not the person *who researched and wrote the book* which Ayers and Connolly merely summarized on your show. What a joke.
Like other scholars on here have said (esp @tressiemcphd), there's no excuse for the lack of citation, attribution, or credit. I haven't done as much media as them, but I've done enough to know that when you want to credit someone else's work, you can do it. It's not that hard
Whether it was a sin of omission or a sin of commission, *a choice was made* by these historians to present themselves as experts on a particular subject, an "expertise" based entirely on the uncredited, unacknowledged labor of an untenured female academic. Shame.
