Who to believe?

Italian neo-Nazis - with French-made, Qatari-sourced, missile - had fought with or against Russian-backed separatists in Ukraine? BBC vs RT.

"The Associated Press reported that those arrested had taken part in the fighting on behalf of the pro-Russian groups there." Reuters likewise.

The Italian police who conducted the investigations into the extremists with the weapons say the group fought against the Russian separatists. poliziadistato.it/articolo/225d2…
What's interesting is how the press agencies and all the Western media invert a simple fact. None of them say the Italian police investigating the group got it wrong; they just say the opposite of what the police say.
Just because Russia must always be in the wrong?
If the monopoly media cannot make elementary checks for accuracy of the news items they spread across all the mainstream outlets, why should anybody accept they have a right to call Russian media purveyors of disinformation?
In the meantime, the Italian police have deleted specificities so as to make their original report not directly contradict Reuters/BBC version.

(But we still have original audio of police spokesman clearly stating that the neo-Nazis fought against the pro-Russian side.)
And then Reuters corrects its falsehood ... so everyone now agrees just not to mention whose side the neo-Nazis were fighting on.
