Me : I've always been clear. The referendum was a false binary and the question should not have been asked - - but given it was, my response will always be towards more not less democracy.
Me : The question has been asked and answered. You cannot take that back. It is not unreasonable (but neither is it wise) to have a referendum on any actual deal i.e. do you accept this deal or not? Parliament really needs to decide.
Me : Then, the answer is in the question ... no deal.
X : Should we not have a referendum on this?
Me : If the only option is no deal, there is no question to ask.
X : What about remaining?
Me : Asked and answered.
Me : Do we decide after a general election that we didn't like the result and demand another general election?
X : The referendum wasn't binding.
