I understand the desire and always encourage people to be involved politically but "a better Europe" assumes that the EC has any interest in making Europe more democratic. Another path is #DiEM25.

I am a member of both Labour and DiEM25 - diem25.org/what-the-labou… ->
X : If you're a member of DiEM25, why are you in favour of brexit?
Me : I've always been clear. The referendum was a false binary and the question should not have been asked - - but given it was, my response will always be towards more not less democracy.
... the EC needs to reform, it should not have the power to initiate law or control the schedule. That must be with elected representatives. The recent appointments, where they even ignored the charade of democracy that is the Spitzenkandidat is a further sign of regression.
X : What about a second referendum?
Me : The question has been asked and answered. You cannot take that back. It is not unreasonable (but neither is it wise) to have a referendum on any actual deal i.e. do you accept this deal or not? Parliament really needs to decide.
X : What if no deal can be agreed?
Me : Then, the answer is in the question ... no deal.
X : Should we not have a referendum on this?
Me : If the only option is no deal, there is no question to ask.
X : What about remaining?
Me : Asked and answered.
X : Can't a population change its mind?
Me : Do we decide after a general election that we didn't like the result and demand another general election?
X : The referendum wasn't binding.
Me : The mandate of the parties in the general election was.
