President @MBuhari approves the immediate implementation of the N30,000 new national wage for Federal Public Service workers currently earning below the minimum wage.
Chief Richard Egbule, Chairman of the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission disclosed the news while addressing a news conference on the implementation of the new national minimum wage earlier today, in Abuja.
The commencement of the approved payment will be determined by the office of the Accountant-General and backdated to when the President signed the agreement.
According to Chief Egbule, the approval takes effect from April 18, 2018, and will affect the salary of government agencies under five salary structures.

The shoddy arrangement for this election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, @inecnigeria is a deliberate predetermined agenda of President @MBuhari to cling on to power even when it's obvious to him that Nigerians want him out.
The postponement which is part of a grand design by the All Progressives Congress, @OfficialAPCNg, to thwart the will of Nigerians at all cost, clearly exposes @inecnigeria as a failure and I call on the Chairman of the Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu to resign immediately.

s. 215(1)(a) of #Nigeria's constitution says: an Inspector-General of @PoliceNG shall be appointed by the President on advice of the Police Council from among serving members of the NPF.

IGP Idris can't be lawfully extended cos he's no longer serving & Police Council hasn't met.
s. 216(2) of the Constitution is v clear: "Before making any appointment to the office of the Inspector-General of @PoliceNG or removing him from office the President shall consult the Nigeria Police Council." A meeting of the Police Council is mandatory pre-condition.
