WOW 😲 BITCOIN IS LEGALLY PROTECTED IN CHINA

Today the first property dispute case on Bitcoin finalized trial in a local Chinese court. The court confirmed the "virtual property" attribute of Bitcoin, recognized it as a virtual property with value

I was browsing Weibo and Wechat on sentiment around the sharp Bitcoin rally, instead of Libra, folks attributed the rally to the case above then I realized it’s indeed a big milestone

Basically someone bought 2.6 bitcoin in 2013 and was in the custody of the seller, and the seller closed out the business without any notice nor delivering Bitcoin to the buyer, hence the buyer sued it
This case is a major milestone that manifested BITCOIN IS ACTUALLY LEGAL in China so please STFUDup on Bitcoin is illegal in China from now on

The defining statement in court’s doc as

“比特币具有财产作为权利客体需具备的价值性、稀缺性、可支配性，应认定其虚拟财产地位。根据《民法总则》，虚拟财产受到我国法律的保护”

Translation -
“Bitcoin holds the attributes as property - valuable, scarce and disposable. We should recognize it as a virtual property.

According to “The General Civil Law”, virtual property is legally protected by laws of People’s Republic of China”
this is like unreal to me actually, has been under years of “holding Bitcoin is illegal you mother fucking criminal” cloud in mainland China and now it’s all clear

to be clear here, holding Bitcoin as a private property is legal does not mean “trading Bitcoin in a systematic way” is legal, yet

So don’t equate this as crypto exchange is legal in China there is still long way to go

For most retail investors, which ever coin can pump is a good coin, the consensus comes from the pumpability and fomomentality not fundamental beliefs

Two funny chinese phrases commonly used as :

拉盘 and 拍断大腿
拉盘 means artificially pump the price (usually from the founding team or foundation itsef)

that’s why EOS is very popular among Chinese investors as ppl believe with $3B cash in head, no one can pump the price better than EOS (the RAM purchase done by BM is a good example)
拍断大腿 means you see some shitcoin pumps to the sky in front of your screen, and you regret not getting in before th the pump so much and slap your lap until it breaks lol

Completely fake news but “real enough” to trick many Chinese retails
The trick is easy and constantly used by many scams - all chinese crypto media circulate the breaking news via picture as above in wechat, instead of news link. So anybody can just use the same theme template and photoshop one ☝🏻 like above

it’s fake af but many retail will believe it for a while before they figure out it’s fake

China trails the US in terms of nuclear attack submarines, aerial refueling & amphibious capacity. Beijing will continue to develop its capabilities on these fronts, but based on current projections, it will not reach parity with the US by 2030.

Why would PRC force a unification as early as 2021? 1) 2021 is the centenary of the #CCP; anniversaries and dates have massive symbolic importance in China's political culture. 2) Xi wants unification to be part of his legacy. This is the only way that he can outshine #Mao.
