You know how on TV and movies we know that two people are soulmates if the male lead rattles off a bunch of random facts he knows about the female lead? Those scenes only work because it's remarkable that a man would have noticed and/or retained that many things about a woman.
Like, I could probably do that with 75% of my co-workers! It's called being a human person who values the perspective and well-being of others (so, a woman).
I've had so many first dates where a dude asks me NOTHING about myself and then seems baffled when I don't want to see him again, because he's sure we have so much in common! No dude, you just projected a bunch of stuff onto the blank slate you maintained of me!
