They asked for a huge % upfront in bribes. His small biashara has since collapsed

#AmKenyan 4. The Mututhos identify a contractor, they then sign a contract and issue several post dated cheques. The contractor does the work satisfactorily. Then the games begin!

#AmKenyan 5. Once the sub-contractor hands over the job to @KenolKobil, the Mututhos request them to hold on to the cheques as they await @KenolKobil to make payments. They then go silent and stop picking calls.

#AmKenyan 6. The sub-contractors run out of patience and they bank the cheques. Days later, banks call them back and inform them the cheques cannot be honoured because they belong to accounts that were closed ages ago!

#AmKenyan 7. When this young man called me, depressed and helpless, I put up a post to warn others on the FB group BUYER BEWARE, where I am an admin. From that post 5 other people have come forth. All young start-ups with identical stories
